To be honest I never understood the hate that Anita Sarkeesian gets. Two cardinal sins there - firstly that quick-time events are still a thing that haven't died yet, and the fact that women apparently need rape as a motivation. Tomb Raider 2013 has a good example where you get greeted with a lovely rape scenario if you miss a quick-time event. You can't do anything these days without offending someone, somewhere. They care about real issues instead like women rights in less developed countries. Since when have women been "impatient", i've spoken with plenty of women, both gamers and non gamers, they don't give the least crap about some attention seekers complaining about how women are portrayed in video games.

They have also jumped on the Sarkeesian feminist train lately, hell, even PCGamer did, but they just posted another article vaguely related to video games which also was promoting the "video game sexism" theme. Real news has probably become half of what they do anymore. They also post a plethora of sensationalist articles filled with crappy journalism and dishonest crap.
They also advertise and endorse a couple of shitty youtubers, one of them being Westie, and the thing is that they post all of that in the same place as actual news. I go there regularly because they report news quite fast.įor the last couple of years they began to erode whatever journalistic integrity they had, they post lots of irrelevant crap in the news section, some of it not directly related to video games and other completely irrelevant.
